The 2025 Seminar is once again scheduled to take place in beautiful Chelan at Campbell’s Resort on October 23rd and 24th. You don’t want to miss this year’s event! \nAs in years past\, the seminar will officially run from 1:00 p.m. Thursday\, October 23rd to Noon on Friday\, October 24th.  We have set aside a block of rooms at Campbell’s Resort for our group\, but please make your room reservations right away as that room block expires on September 22nd and it is possible that we could sell out prior to that date. \nWe’re continuing our tradition of offering an optional Thursday morning intensive training designed specifically for our small ports. This year’s focus is Brownfields 101\, and we’re excited to present a fantastic panel of speakers who will cover topics that matter to all of us. I highly encourage you to attend! No registration is required for this optional training\, everyone is welcome\, and there’s no charge to participate. \nOur regular event schedule will include topics such as: \n\nIndustrial Development Districts\nUpdates & Resources from SAO\nSmall Ports Tourism Promotion\n\nAND \n\nGet an introduction to Impact Washington!\n\nOur presenters are excited to share and interact with all of you and help you navigate various processes to achieve your goals! \nWe look forward to seeing you in Chelan! \nEric ffitch\, Executive Director \n  \n\n\n2025 Small Ports Seminar FAQ\nWhere and when is this years event? \nThe 2025 Small Ports Seminar is at Campbell’s Resort in Lake Chelan\, October 23rd – 24th. \nHow do I register for this event? \nPlease register by clicking on the “registration” link at the top of this page so we capture all the proper information. \nWill I receive confirmation of my registration? \nYes! Confirmation of online registrations will be sent via email within 48 hours. The confirmation will be sent to both the attendee and admin email addresses shown in the registration section.  If you do not receive confirmation within 2 days\, please do not hesitate to email Mandy Lill or call 360.878.6299. \nThere was no link to pay for my registration\, how do I pay you? \nWPPA will send an invoice for all registrations and sponsorships after the event has occurred. You can pay via check or call in a credit card payment. \nIs registration required for the optional Thursday morning intensive session? \nNO\, you do not need to register for the optional intensive training session; anyone can attend that session even if you are not attending the rest of the event. Just show up. \nWhat is the dress code? \nDress is smart casual. \nHotel Information \nPlease make your reservations directly through Campbell’s Resort to be a part of our room block! Call 800-553-8225 to make your reservations. Be sure to tell them our group block name to receive our special pricing: Washington Public Ports Association OR our group block number: 762841. \nWPPA rates at Campbells Resort are: Traditional – Deluxe room types range from $164.00 – $194.00 plus applicable taxes. Should you wish to extend your stay\, these rates are also offered 3 days prior and 3 days post our event\, subject to availability. \nReservations must be made by September 22 to guarantee our group rate.  Our room block may sell out prior to this date so make your reservations now! Once our room block is “sold out”\, standard rates will apply. \nCampbell’s has a 7-day cancellation policy. EXCEPTION – Reservations made 6 months in advance have a 1-month cancellation policy! \nYou will be asked to guarantee the reservation with a credit card.  Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m. They do not offer late checkout. \nPlease only book the number of rooms you need\, do not overbook. We have lots of members that need rooms at the special rate and when you overbook and then cancel closer to the meetings\, we lose those rooms in our block and have members that have to pay extra or choose not to attend. \nIf you have a room you no longer need\, please contact Mandy Lill BEFORE you cancel. Your guest is invited and encouraged to attend the Thursday evening reception. Any other meals we offer are for meeting attendees only. Please be sure to include your guests’ full name on the registration form when registering for this event. \nI have dietary restrictions/I’m vegetarian.  How do I let you know this? \nPlease use the comment section on the registration form to let us know about any dietary restrictions or preferences. This helps us ensure that your meals are tailored to your needs. Your display will stay up throughout the reception\, giving attendees a chance to stop by\, chat\, and learn more about what you do.\nMake Meaningful Connections: Many of our ports are looking for guidance and new partnerships—but they might not know where to start. This is a great opportunity to introduce yourself\, share your expertise\, and explore how you might support their work.\nWrap-Up: Once the reception wraps up at 6:00 PM\, we’ll need to clear the room\, so please plan to pack up your display at that time.\nReserve Your Table: Tables are $250 (registration fee not included).\n\nSpace is limited to just 10 tables\, email Mandy Lill to secure a display table or to inquire about sponsorships. \nThank you!
