DESCRIPTION:The 2025 New Commissioners Seminar is attached to the Annual Meeting and more information will be posted 8 weeks prior to the event. \nThe New Commissioners Seminar happens every other year and it is an educational product we offer to newly elected commissioners\, new port staff\, and new executives who are trying to get up to speed on all things Washington ports. \nWe often get questions from people about whether you have to be a newly-elected commissioner to attend. The answer is definitive: NO! We have been joined in the past by commissioners who were appointed mid-term and had yet to have the chance to attend a New Commissioner Seminar; seasoned commissioners who wanted to brush up on the latest information; and we have had staff from ports who were eager to learn more about port basics.
