However\, we are keeping a waiting list so if you are interested in being on that list\, please fill out the registration form at the link below and we will let you know if we get any cancellations and are able to sub you in. \nWe’re excited to invite WPPA members to our first-ever Port Academy Series event\, a new educational initiative designed to provide port staff with an opportunity to learn from one another through hands-on\, port-led forums. This series will include three to four installments annually\, with the first being graciously hosted by the Port of Kalama on June 4th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. \nThe Port Academy Series is all about collaboration and knowledge-sharing. Whether you’re a Port Manager\, Finance Officer\, Environmental Policy Specialist\, or Marina Manager\, this event offers a chance to dive deep into the inner workings of the Port of Kalama and explore key topics that can help improve your own port’s operations. Expect a mix of learning sessions\, insightful discussions\, and a tour of the Port’s facilities. And lunch is on WPPA! \nWe’ve designed this series to be informal and flexible\, with a small group of 25 attendees to encourage open dialogue. This year we are back in the Inland Northwest\, with the City of Spokane playing host at the ever-popular Historic Davenport Hotel\, May 14th – 16th. \nBringing our members together is the essence of what we do at WPPA\, and the energy and enthusiasm we see in the connections between our ports\, our associate members\, and our invited speakers helps power our work for the rest of the year. And in fact\, in that work we continue to see  “energy” and “power” are two of the issues that continue to unite our ports around challenges that require urgent attention. \nEach year\, our Spring and Annual conferences convene more than two hundred people to discuss the latest issues facing our ports and to gain valuable insight from our partners.
