Dear Port Colleagues and Friends:

Welcome to the 2019 WPPA Finance and Administration Seminar!

This year we’ve selected the Alderbrook Resort in Union, Washington, as our venue for three days of education, discussion, and networking with your port peers.

We are very excited to kick off the seminar with a motivational speaker, National Geographic explorer and author Helen Thayer, who among many amazing accomplishments, was the first woman to travel alone to any of the world’s Poles.

This year’s seminar will include presentations from the State Auditor’s Office on SAO Services, and where to start with GASB 87.

Other topics of discussion will include Cybersecurity, MRSC Resources, Unit Priced Contracting, Pre-Debt Issuance, Role of the Port Auditor, as well as a 2019 Legislative Update.

I invite all port finance officers and auditors, commissioners, executive directors, and our Associate Members to join us at the Alderbrook Resort for this comprehensive educational opportunity!

Scott Goodrich, Chair
Finance and Administration Committee
Director of Finance and Accounting
