In conjunction with the Annual Meeting\, we will also be holding a CLE Seminar and the bi-annual New Commissioners Seminar. This year’s event will also feature another fun element: an auction to benefit the WPPA Educational Foundation! \nAs always\, your presence and input at this annual meeting is vital to our cohesive statewide efforts as we will be talking about timely topics and shared priorities that affect the future of our ports and our industry partners. We have assembled a compelling agenda so far\, with a diverse group of speakers and informative learning experiences\, and more topics will be added as we approach the event.  Most importantly\, we will connect with each other over key current challenges and areas where we can partner to improve our outcomes. DESCRIPTION:The 2025 New Commissioners Seminar is attached to the Annual Meeting and more information will be posted 8 weeks prior to the event. \nThe New Commissioners Seminar happens every other year and it is an educational product we offer to newly elected commissioners\, new port staff\, and new executives who are trying to get up to speed on all things Washington ports. \nWe often get questions from people about whether you have to be a newly-elected commissioner to attend. The answer is definitive: NO! We have been joined in the past by commissioners who were appointed mid-term and had yet to have the chance to attend a New Commissioner Seminar; seasoned commissioners who wanted to brush up on the latest information; and we have had staff from ports who were eager to learn more about port basics.
