Tuesday Roundtable recap: Port of Grapeview Creative Partnership Award & grant opportunities from the Recreation and Conservation Office

Small ports all across Washington are accomplishing big things, and this Roundtable features our 2020 Creative Partnership award winner talking about the amazing things they were able to do with a small budget, volunteers, and grant opportunities.

Commissioner Jean Farmer of the Port of Grapeview was on hand to accept the award and talk more about the Port’s success. Marguerite Austin of Washington's Recreation and Conservation Office, RCO, also gave detailed information about grant opportunities for small (and all) ports and how to access those grant funds.

October is Small Ports month, and we are featuring topics relevant to small ports leading up to our Small Ports Seminar on October 22 & 23rd. We hope you will be able to attend this inspiring Roundtable focused on what's possible for any small port in Washington.

In today’s conversation:

·      The case study for a creative partnership between the port, its volunteers, community leaders, and the Recreation and Conservation Office- watch the award video for the Port of Grapeview

·      The ways in which RCO provides ports of all sizes grant opportunities to bring useful and beautiful community port projects to life

·      All of the grant programs available to ports and their requirements- read RCOs presentation here
