In our May 5th Tuesday Roundtable discussion, we tackled the complex issue of successfully managing human resources through COVID-19. The pandemic has upended many of the traditional considerations for employee and public safety and has put ports into the position of having to make public health policy decisions- a role they had not previously played.
To help leaders and decision-makers at ports better understand requirements, considerations and best practices around the work environment during COVID-19, representatives from MRSC detailed a variety of policy concerns for ports. Kim Noah, Chief Operating Officer at Port of Camas-Washougal provided her expertise on these challenging issues; WPPA Counsel Frank Chmelik finished the conversation with key legal insight.
