Wapato Valley Mitigation and Conservation Bank (sponsored by family-owned Plas Newydd, LLC) is an 876 acre multi-resource wetland mitigation and conservation bank located in the Columbia River floodplain in Clark
County, Washington. Bank credits, upon release, could be used to offset future, unavoidable impacts from permitted development projects in the lower Columbia River region. As a multi-resource bank, Wapato Valley will provide mitigation credits for impacts to wetlands and other aquatic resources authorized under federal, state, and local regulations; credits in the form of Discounted Service Acre-Years (DSAYs) for federally-listed salmon, steelhead, and their designated critical habitat under the Endangered Species Act (ESA); and conservation credits for Oregon white oak Critical Areas.
