It’s time to gather for WPPA’s Environmental Seminar! As you know, this event provides participants with a relaxed venue to learn about environmental issues, share experiences, and reconnect with friends in the port community. In addition to presentations by experts, this year’s agenda is full of the peer-to-peer interactions that have time and again proven so valuable.
The 2025 seminar will be held at Alderbrook Resort in Union. The meeting officially begins the morning of Thursday, September 25th and will conclude by noon on Friday, September 26th.

Where and when is this year’s event?
The 2025 Environmental Seminar is at Alderbrook Resort in Union, September 25th – 26th.
How do I register for this event?
Please register using our online form HERE on our website, so we capture all the proper information.
Will I receive confirmation of my seminar registration?
Yes! Confirmation of online registrations will be sent via email within 48 hours. The confirmation will be sent to both the attendee and admin email addresses shown in the registration section. If you do not receive confirmation within 2 days, please do not hesitate to email Mandy Lill or call 360.878.6299.
There was no link to pay for my registration, how do I pay you?
WPPA will send an invoice for all registrations and sponsorships after the event has occurred. You can pay via check or call in a credit card payment.
What is the dress code?
Dress is business casual.
Hotel Information:
THE CUTOFF DATE FOR HOTEL ROOM RESERVATIONS IS Monday August 25th
Our special group rate at Alderbrook Resort is $270 + taxes and fees. To make a reservation, call the hotel directly at 360.898.2145 and be sure to refer to the “WPPA Environmental Seminar 2025” to get our rate. Please book your reservation directly with the hotel (not a 3rd party) so we can be sure to account for you in our room block.
If you have to cancel a hotel reservation, please contact Mandy Lill first! There may be someone on a waiting list for a room and the only way we can keep the room in our block is if we know about it before you cancel. Alderbrook’s cancellation policy is 7 days prior to your stay. If you cancel within 7 days or if you no-show, the hotel will charge you the first night’s room and tax.
Once our room block is “sold out”, standard rates will apply. Please note: our block may sell out any time prior to the cut-off date. Your reservation is fully refundable as long as you cancel at least 8 days prior.
Parking at Alderbrook is no charge.
Is there a registration deadline?
To get the early bird registration rate, you must register online by Friday, August 29th. After that date, the registration fee will increase by 10%. The final date to register online will be Wednesday, September 17th, 2025. After that date, you will need to contact Mandy Lill for help registering.
What are the registration fees and what do they include?
Please click here to view fees on the registration page. The fees include everything listed on the Environmental Seminar agenda. We will bill you for your attendance after the event has occurred.
Can I bring my spouse and what portion of the event can they attend?
Yes, you can bring your spouse! Spouses are invited and encouraged to attend the Thursday evening reception. There is no additional fee for this! Breakfast and lunch during the meeting is for registered attendees only, not for guests.
Do I need to register my Spouse?
Yes, please register your spouse. While there is no separate fee for them to attend the receptions, we do ask that you register them in advance so we have a proper headcount for food. Please be sure to include your guests full name on the registration form.
I have food allergies/I’m a vegetarian, etc. How do I let you know this?
There is a comment section on the registration form. PLEASE note this information there so we can be sure to order meals that accommodate your needs! I must know ahead of time what your dietary requests are as the hotel has to plan ahead for this. What if I have to cancel?
A $100 administration fee will be charged for cancellations received after Monday, September 15th, 2025, and for registrants failing to show.
Are there sponsorships available for this event?
Absolutely! Sponsorships are key for us being able to deliver a quality event. If you would like to be a sponsor, you can email Mandy for more information.
