WPPA Port Governance and Management Guide – TRAINING SESSION | 1:00 – 4:00 pm
**If you have already registered for the Winter Meeting, and you would like to add this session to your registration, you can contact Mandy Lill for assistance.
As many of you know, this year we embarked on an exciting new development in our ongoing effort to provide relevant educational resources to our members: we are working with Maul Foster & Alongi (MFA) to update the Port Governance and Management Guide.
MFA, in partnership with many port staff and some Associate Member volunteers, are updating the “Big Book” in four cycles, beginning with Chapters 1-3. Those updated chapters will be done this November, and MFA and Jim Darling with Leeward Strategies will be leading a training on the content in those three chapters at this year’s Winter Meeting.
These trainings will be a regular offering at our Spring and Winter Meetings, where anyone who registers can spend the afternoon before the meeting officially commences in a session led by subject matter experts from MFA, Leeward Strategies, and select port and associate member participants. That means that, after FOUR of our Spring and Winter Meetings, you will have delved into detail on the entire Big Book and come out of it with skills and knowledge you didn’t even know you needed.
Registration and Pricing
To register for this training, please visit the registration link at the top of this page. Early bird registration is $195 through November 16. Beginning November 17, registration will be $250. Your registration fee will be part of what helps us pay to update the book and keep its contents relevant.
Please consider signing up! This is a valuable opportunity to learn from subject matter experts, explore practical applications of the guide, and build your knowledge of port governance and management.
THANK YOU!
